FRID started as a frustration with the plus size clothing market, especially jeans. Bigger women are seldom a priority for brands, so I wanted to create something especially for them, with their bodies in mind. The collection aims to provide both staple wardrobe pieces and some more design heavy items.
I’ve spent a lot of time on pattern construction during this prosess, to get the fit right. In addition to that I’ve experimented with different shibori dyeing techniques and navigated myself through the world of denim.
