CAKE (haveyourCAKEandeatittoo)
Have your CAKE and eat it too is a project about having something nice, but also about using thenive thing you have. Inspired by aesthetics from Norwegian folk costume and the 90s rave-style, I have explored a new expression that focuses on preserving Norwegian cultural heritage while developing it. The intentions are also to use the inherent value of the folk costume to design for attachment. The goal is to achieve use of the garment, that it gets taken care of and hopefully inherited - this ensures a long life span which is an important measure towards more sustainable consumption.
