Venus i Vinkel
Venus i Vinkel is an exploration of how historical references can be used to elevate plus-size fashion. The collection combines classically tailored clothing and inspiration from modernist architecture and furniture from the mid-20th century. The main idea of my design is that anyone’s body can be flattered by building outwards. This is why I created the distinctive neoprene skirt. They give the wearer an A-line silhouette, regardless of the shape of the body beneath. I also used fabric inspired by antique tapestry and deadstock active-wear fabric to balance the new and old, combining into an avant-garde collection with a distinct identity.
