In this project, we explore how we can mix different cultural expressions, to participate in the discussion on where the boundaries between cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation should be defined. The collection draws inspiration from three garments that have been of great significance in each of their continents: the men’s suit, the kimono and the kaftan. Our goal is to learn, discover and grow. We have explored how cultures can be inspired and learn from each other in a better and more sustainable way. We want to show the similarity between different cultures, while also celebrating the differences.
